Amanda + Kevin | Orange

I'm catching up on blog posts - it's been a busy month! Amanda and Kevin were married at Chapman Chapel in Orange on July 15th. The chapel was extra special for Kevin and Amanda because Kevin's parents were married there 25 years ago!

The reception was held at a relative's estate in Santa Ana and it was perfect for a balmy summer evening. I had the pleasure of working with Rustin Cerveny, a photographer and soon-to-be-dad from L.A.

I posted a few favorite images below. Enjoy!

Wai Yee + Nate | Malibu

'Tis the season for gorgeous beach weddings! Wai Yee and Nate were married on July 5th at the charming Enchanted Sea Cottage in Malibu. Their intimate wedding was held on the bluffs overlooking the sparkling blue Pacific Ocean (I'm having deja vu all over again...).

Wai Yee wore a beautiful organza gown and Nate wore a snappy stand-up collar tuxedo. White roses and lilies accompanied by blue hydrangeas were perfect for a warm summer day.

The reception and celebration was held in the courtyard which was surrounded by gardens filled to the brim with flowers. And of course, there was a fabulous sunset!

A few favorites from the day are posted in the collage below.

Enjoy!

An Old-Fashioned 4th of July

What a treat! We celebrated the 4th with an old-fashioned barbecue and fireworks from the firework stand!

It's been years since we've had our own fireworks display instead of trying to find a local display in a park. It was such a treat to enjoy the barbecue and the company of family and friends, and then when it started to get dark, just wander to the front yard and enjoy our own display, complete with sparklers!!

We posted a few of our favorite photos from the evening. Enjoy!

Scott + Veronica | Palos Verdes

Scott and Veronica were married on June 28th, in Palos Verdes on the bluffs at Point Vicente.

Scott and Veronica saw each other first, on the bluffs, in a pseudo-, semi-, quasi-private but very sweet moment! Their intimate, late afternoon wedding was witnessed by family and friends and they celebrated in style on the Whale Terrace of the Point Vicente Interpretive Center over looking the Pacific Ocean.

The weather was absolutely perfect too, which was a nice change from last weekend! Blue skies, soft breezes, and blue-green surf made for a picture perfect day!

A few favorite images from the day are posted in the collage below.

Thornton Winery | Sasha + Trevor!

It had to be the hottest day of the year so far...112F! But it didn't seem to faze Sasha and Trevor, who had a fabulous wedding at Thornton Winery in Temecula.

The wedding was held on the lower lawn, overlooking the beautiful rolling hills and Temecula Valley vineyards. The reception and celebration was held on the Fountain Terrace and as the sun went down we were treated to a beautiful sunset and cooler temps!

Did I mention Trevor has an identical twin?! They were easy to tell apart; Trevor was wearing the white tux!

I posted some favorite images from the day in the collage below. Enjoy!

Julie + Kyle | Engaged!

That was fun! I met Julie and Kyle in Downtown Fullerton on Sunday morning for their engagement session. Kyle grew up in Fullerton and he and Julie will be getting married there in November, so it was the perfect spot.

We started in front of the old Fox Theater and then took advantage of the great morning light and the fabulous, early 20th-century architecture, especially the very romantic Villa Del Sol!

Kyle and Julie are a great couple, very much in love and they love to have fun! I posted a few favorites from the session below.

Enjoy!

Where in the world are we???

This time tomorrow we will be in Beijing!!!

We are taking a much needed break (it's a long story, but this is not ONE but TWO cancelled vacations later) and are headed off to China for 20 days!

Even though we aren't packed yet (gack!) we are incredibly excited to visit Beijing, Xian, Shangri-La (instead of Lhasa in Tibet - boo hoo!), a short cruise on the Yangtze River, then on to Shanghai, Guilin and Hong Kong. Sounds amazing, no?!?!

We'll be back on May 28th - and if you need anything - leave a message or an email. We'll be checking in periodically.

See you soon!

Ali + Grady + [seven-degrees]

Ali and Grady exchanged vows at the amazing [seven-degrees] in Laguna Beach. It was a gorgeous Friday afternoon wedding followed by an incredible celebration!

The wedding was held on the hillside terrace of this innovative multi-media art and event center nestled in Laguna Canyon. The granite, glass and contemporary architecture was a fabulous back-drop for a fabulous couple.

The party got started in the media lounge, which was all decked out with colorful lights, candles and flowers, and included some wackazany karaoke!

Some favorites from the day are posted in the collage below. Enjoy!
