We had a blast photographing Alyssa's sweet sixteen portraits!  We met Alyssa along with her mom and sister at Yorba Regional Park on a warm summer afternoon.  We started with Alyssa alone, and she truly is sweet and adorable!  As we wandered to different parts of the park, we were overrun (literally) by a men's track team!  Next up were a variety of photos with Alyssa's mom, Lisa and her sister, Alexa.  The three of them are very close and we all had a lot of fun with some silly moments thrown in for good measure!

We had a lot of fun photographing the Patel family down on the beach.  We weren't so lucky with the weather - it was gray and dreary and misty - but at least the beach wasn't crowded!

The Patels wanted a somewhat formal, garden look for some of their photos and a more relaxed and casual look for others.  The ladies looked beautiful in their traditional and very colorful saris.  After a quick change into coordinating casual clothes, we went down on the sand for some sunless fun!

We had the pleasure of photographing some portraits of Jim and Arlene at Yorba Regional Park.  We planned a late afternoon session to take advantage of the nice afternoon light and we had a nice time wandering through the park and finding interesting places for portraits.  The park has a lot of paths meandering through the trees, and a few lakes and bridges.  You'd never know we were in the heart of the city!

Meet Sydney!

I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Sydney for a modeling portfolio.  We had a ton of fun at the beach, in Old Town Orange and in the studio.  Our goal was to capture a variety of looks and Sydney nailed it!  Beautiful.  Fresh.  Fun.  Serious.  Sydney is a classic beauty!

Kyle and Chelsea are pals and they go to high school together and they will be graduating together so it sort of made sense to photograph them together.  So Kyle had the same dry-wet-dry day Chelsea had and he went to all the same places Chelsea went, but they sure don't look alike.  While Chelsea was sweet and funny and introspective, Kyle is...well...Kyle has many faces.  And it really shows!

First it was dry so we headed to a (closed!) junk yard.  Then it was very wet, so we sought shelter in the laundromat.  Then it was dry, so we found some old stuff.   Chelsea is lovely, doncha think?!!

We met the Wrench family at Rancho De Felicidad in Chino Hills for some fun and some portraits.  Alexa boards her fabulous horse Caspian there, so it seemed a fitting place for some family portraits and some very different senior portraits for Alexa.

The weather was beautiful and we had a lot of fun with the entire family.  The stables provided a warm and inviting backdrop with a less-than-urban feel.  We posted a few favorites from the session in the collage below.  Enjoy!

We had a blast photographing Kelsey, Kyle, Mel and Lee.  They wanted a portrait for their mom for Christmas, and even though it was a tight fit to get the session in and a print made when not all of them live in SoCal, we did it!  We went to a local park and took advantage of the fall color (in December!) and a lovely day right after the rain washed everything clean!
