Great Bridal Expo - Anaheim Convention Center

We participated in the Great Bridal Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center on Saturday, April 24th. What an amazing day! The turn-out was incredible and we met a LOT of fabulous brides and grooms, and their wonderfully supportive friends and family. We even met a few great kidlets too!

We handed out jelly beans (can anyone guess the flavors?!?) and brochures and really enjoyed talking with the visitors to our booth and sharing our photography.

If you didn't get a chance to see us yesterday, we'll be back at the Great Bridal Expo - Anaheim Part II on November 2, 2008.

We posted a few images from our booth in the collage below. Enjoy!

Old Town Orange Part Jeff and Dione

What a difference a week makes! We photographed Jeff and Dione's engagement session in Old Towne Orange (popular place, eh?!), but this weekend the weather was quite cool and instead of being nearly deserted in the early hours of Sunday, the place was packed with a Car Show! Jeff and Dione took it in stride as we hung out in the circle, and at Jeff's mom's cousin's store (I hope I have all of my posessives right).

After Old Towne, we headed up the street to Hart Park for a little more privacy; except for the small crowd of young ladies who "ooohed" and "aaahhed" at Jeff and Dione being their romantic selves! Kudos to Jeff and Dione for maintaining grace under pressure; they had an audience everywhere we went!

We posted a few of our favorites from the session in the collage below. Enjoy!

Route 66 Kicks

You just never know what treats are in store when you go to the dentist. Especially when your dentist is a family friend. And he's many miles from home. In the desert. On Route 66.

Between xrays and dinner we had a little time to kill, so we drove a section of Route 66 in search of...something. We didn't have much time, and there was a lot of nothing between the somethings. Nevertheless, we were intrigued by the never-ending train, the almost dry river bed, an abandoned gas station and the incredibly blue sky. We posted a few favorite kicks in the collage below.

Enjoy!

Hot! Hot! Hot!

Meet Matthew and Michelle; a sizzling couple we photographed on a very hot day! We met Matthew and Michelle in Old Towne Orange on Sunday, April 13th, and wowza! was it ever hot that day. But they kept their cool as we wandered around the traffic circle and photographed them having a little fun and a little romance.

Matthew and Michelle are getting married in 2009, after they both finish up graduate degrees from UCI. We had a blast photographing them in spite of the heat. They are a great couple, very much in love and a lot of fun!

We posted a few of our favorite images in the collage below. Enjoy!

Fabuluxe!

On April 8th we attended Fabuluxe - an Art & Music Soiree. The artist, Rachel Koukal, is a senior at Azusa Pacific University and will be graduating with a BA in Graphic Design and Studio Art this spring.

Fabuluxe was a show about repurposing - all of the pieces were either already existing objects that were given new function or re-used imagery from vintage magazines that Rachel collects. Even the warehouse where Fabuluxe was held was re-purposed into a club atmosphere.

Fabuluxe was Rachel's final exhibition as a student so she pulled out all of the stops! Not only was there art, but there was good music, good food, a photo booth and some wackazany videos!

Music was provided by The Denouement, who performed against a backdrop of vintage videos. Vintage videos were the perfect complement to Rachel's vintage art.

Rachel will also be exhibiting at the upcoming International Poster Art Show in San Lorenzo, Rome. You can see samples of Rachel's work as well as some images from the event in the collage below.

California Photographic Workshops - Wowza!

I had the pleasure of attending Joe Buissink's Wedding Photography class through the California Photographic Workshops in Santa Cruz, California. The workshop was held the first week of April and it was an intense class with lots of discussion and even more hands-on photography. Joe is an excellent teacher and an incredible man. He generously shared his knowledge and techniques and then rolled up his sleeves and worked with us when it was time to practice.

It was a great experience, working with the provided models and putting into practice what we were learning in the classroom.

I posted some of my favorites from the week in the collage below.

Enjoy!

Stephanie and OJ tie the knot in Anaheim Hills

The lovely Kindred Community Church in Anaheim Hills was the location for Stephanie and OJ's wedding. Stephanie and OJ exchanged vows at the lakeside chapel, then there were the parasol shenanigans, followed by a wild and crazy limo ride to their reception and celebration at the Embassy Suites in Anaheim Hills. It was definitely a day of love, laughter and tears!

We posted a few of our favorite photos below. Enjoy!

Amy and Tim at Eagle Glen Golf Club

Amy and Tim picked a gorgeous setting when they chose Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, California for their wedding and reception. Even though the sky threatened rain, it never did and we had some beautiful light and skies enhancing the setting. The ceremony was short but touching, and the celebration was tons of fun with a fantastic music selection chosen especially by Amy and Tim! The wedding had a black and white theme; Amy's white dress had a black sash, the flowers were beautiful white roses, and their attendants wore black.

Amy and Tim are incredibly fun, and their friends and family are too!

We posted a few of our favorite images from their wedding below. Enjoy!

Nicole & Adam at the fabulous Langham Huntington Hotel

"A rose by any other name..." - what was the Ritz Carlton in Pasadena is now the Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa, but no matter what you call it, it was the gorgeous backdrop for Adam and Nicole's wedding. Despite rain and hail that forced their wedding indoors, it was a beautiful wedding on a beautiful day. Radiant white flowers accented with bright orange brought the sunshine inside!

Below are a few favorite photos from the day. Enjoy!
