Oh, and canals. Our visit to Amsterdam was way too short, but I think we got to experience the highlights at least. We were nearly run down by bicyclists who never slowed down but rang their bells loudly. We cruised the canals whilst enjoying the company of new friends, sampling Indonesian food and imbibing quantities of beer and wine. And then for giggles and grins, we wandered the streets of Amsterdam with only one goal in mind; the Red Light District! I have to say, this was a delight greatly enhanced by being part of an eclectic and festive group!

and then I saw France via Amsterdam, Heidelberg, Luzern and Paris. Finally, a long-awaited vacation to Europe! We had a great time, took A LOT of photographs and met some really great people.
