Great Bridal Expo - Part Deux

Wow!  We had a booth at the Great Bridal Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center on Sunday, and what an amazing turn-out!  We met a lot of fabulous brides, grooms, sisters, moms and best friends!  It was a pleasure meeting everyone and talking about engagements and weddings and photography.

We handed out some pretty snazzy brochures and invited brides, grooms and their families to our Studio Soirees.  We had two other special happenings.  First we had a Show Special - and if you were there, you know what it was!!  Second, we were giving away a portait session as our Show Sweepstakes prize.  The portrait session could be an engagement session, a boudoir session or a bridal session.  Pretty cool, huh??

We promised to announce the Portrait Session winner on our blog and via email, so drumroll please....

The WINNERS ARE:  Katherine Ohta and Brian Moncrief!!!!  Congratulations!

Thanks to all who attended and made the Bridal Expo a success!

Debbie + Casey | Dana Point Harbor

We had the pleasure of photographing Debbie and Casey's engagement session on Saturday, at Dana Point Harbor.  It was a lovely, fall afternoon on the coast and Debbie and Casey had their romance game on!

We wandered around to the jetty, the Ocean Institute and the marina.  It was a pretty popular spot on Saturday as there were two beach weddings taking place as well!

We posted a few favorites from the session in the collage below.  Enjoy!

Jeff + Julie | Centennial Heritage Museum, Santa Ana

Jeff and Julie were married at the Historic Kellogg House and Gardens on October 4th.  The Kellogg House, a Victorian-style home, is set amongst beautiful gardens and citrus groves.  Because the day threatened rain, Plan B went into effect and the ceremony was held in the Gazebo while guests were seated under a tent on the Gazebo lawn.  The reception was held under a tent on the Rose Garden lawn, and the dancing took place on the Rose Garden Terrace.

Jeff and Julie were surrounded by lots of family and friends as they celebrated their wedding, and they added quite a few special touches to add to the enjoyment; guests were treated to the music of a bagpiper, a photobooth during the reception, great music from Another Fine Mess, a late evening taco bar and a visit from The Great Panda!

We posted some favorite images from the day in the collage below.  Enjoy!

Anna + Aaron | Nixon Library, Yorba Linda

Anna and Aaron were married on September 28th (I know, I know, I'm late getting these up!).  The late afternoon wedding was held in the First Lady's Rose Garden, overlooking the reflecting pool at the Nixon Library.  It was a perfect, sunny afternoon for a garden wedding!

The reception was held in the White House East Room, or Grand Ballroom.  Both Anna and Aaron are lawyers, and they selected a Statesman theme that reflected their careers and common interests.  The elegant affair was catered by White House Catering to round out the theme.  There was beautiful food and a fabulous dessert bar to boot!

Anna and Aaron celebrated their wedding in style, with lots of singing and dancing!  We posted a few of our favorites in the collage below.  Enjoy!

Gini + Bruce | San Diego Wild Animal Park

Wow...we're finally getting caught up again on blog posts.  To start things off again, meet Gini and Bruce!  We did a portrait session with them a few days before the wedding, then they were married at the San Diego Wild Animal Park on Saturday, September 27th.  Needless to say, it was a WILD wedding!

The wedding was held at the Mombasa Lagoon Overlook and the reception was held in the Mombasa Island Pavilion.  Immediately after the ceremony there was an Animal Encounter with a variety of exotic animals and caricature artists were available for most of the evening.

Along with some pretty wild dancing, there were some wild cakes!  Cakes?  As in plural?  YES!!!  There were 5 cakes in all!  There was an exotic animal wedding cake, a frog prince cake for Gini & Bruce's plastic frog travelling companion, a shopping cake for Gini's Wedding Coordinator, and very special cake for Phoebe, the flower girl and there was a Groom's cake!  They were all fabulous and intricately decorated.

We posted a few of our favorite images below, and FOUR cake photos!  Enjoy!
